    Yea, it sounds like nagios is what you want...probably have to brush up
    on the SNMP as well.  This kind of thing always seems like a "one of
    these days..." type of thing.  Glad you're doing it and it might just
    turn out to be fodder for a presentation someday  :)
    
    Speaking of which, I've really got to make an effort to show up.  maybe
    for the ruby topic if you'll give it.
