From them I've been able to make SOME headway. I was able to secure the BETA linux modules and ppd's for this particular printer directly from DYMO for trial. That is tomorrow's project. I'm still trying to coordinate the physical i/o over the ttyS2 (serial) port. ABTW - using the cups http access (host:631) I was able to define as a local file using the value of "file://dev/ttyS2" and it took it. Whether or not it will output is another story. Time will tell. Dave: On AIX this was really quite easy. On Linux (ubuntu anyway) it hasn't even been close to easy! So tell our employer NOT to throw out the AIX yet! Bob
