Thanks Ro; I tried to untar this but it appears they're all "node" files and wouldn't let me create them without actually placing them into the /dev directory which I didn't want to do. Thanks for sending it anyway. We're moving closer to a solution but boy, this shouldn't be this difficult!!! Bob --- Bob - have you looked at dmesg for any lines about "serial". I thought that would say what was found and what node(s) got created.
