    Dave;

    Yes - 1st thing I did was enable the primary serial port ONLY.
    udev seems to be running. With the printer (a Dymo SE300 serially
    connected label printer that accepts ascii data) and looping through all
    the /dev/tty* devices I get output on /dev/ttyS2 (strange 'cause its the
    only serial device connected and I've only the primary COM enabled in
    bios). So, it appears that this would be the logical device name.

    But, when I try to define it to cups, cups coughs and will NOT accept it
    as a valid port/device.

    I am trying to connect this printer as a ser device addressable by cups
    able to handle print jobs from any authorized source using cups.

    Any other suggestions GREATLY appreciated!
