But isn't inline styling when I set style attributes directly without
referencing a style from an internal or external style sheet?

This page http://webdesign.about.com/od/htmltags/a/aa011000a.htm claims
that div and span are not the same or one inline and the other one sth
else. I think I will be OK just to look at the SPAN tag for now. It just
doesn't seem to make sense. :/
