[Eclug] #eclug irc?

Hey - a non-production related questions from me!!!

Believe it or not I have never delved into the world of IRC (nope - not 
even AIM).  But since I'm trying to get more involved in projects 
outside of work I find that many projects often maintain an IRC channel 
for group communications.

Even our own ECLUG.net site speaks of such a link.  So, my question is: 
  I have gaim installed which actually works allowing me to communicate 
with some other developers (on AIM I believe) but can someone please 
explain how I would go about defining the link to communicate with the 
#eclug group?

I know I should ask my 11 year old grandson how to do this but I'm sure 
he's busy doing something important (God its tough getting old-er!).
