    That applies to all those instances where the window is opened without user 
    interaction. For example, when clikcing a link opens a new browser window 
    smart pop-up blockers allow this. I once came across this problem while 
    doing some PHP stuff and I confirmed that this is indeed the case. I'd see 
    if there is a way to tie showing the window with some user action, then it 
    ought to work. I cannot give you any hints on how to do this with Java.
